कोरोना वायरस के इलाज के लिए पूर्ण समर्पण के साथ बेनाम होकर कार्य करने वाली डॉ उमा मधुसुदन को उनके नगरवासियों और पुलिस ने अनोखे ड्राइवपास्ट के द्वारा उनके प्रयासों को सम्मानित किया. उपलब्ध विडियो में 100 कारों व् अन्य वाहनों का एक काफिला डॉ उमा मधुसुदन के निवास के सामने से अनुशासित ढंग से गुजरता है और उमा उनका अभिवादन स्वीकार कर रही हैं. डॉ. उमा मूल रूप से मैसूर से हैं जहाँ उन्होंने वर्ष 1990 जे.एस.एस. मेडिकल कालेज से चिकित्सा विज्ञानं की शिक्षा ग्रहण की और वर्तमान में वे संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के कनेक्टिकट प्रान्त में साउथ विंडसर हॉस्पिटल में अपनी सेवाएँ प्रदान कर रही है.

लेकिन भारत में जो चिकित्सक अल्प सुरक्षा संसाधनों में देश में अपनी सेवाएँ प्रदान कर रहे हैं.उनके प्रति देश कुछ स्थानों पर की गयी दुराग्रहपूर्ण व्यवहार किसी से छिपा नहीं है. बहरहाल इस सम्मान के साथ जो तख्ती डॉ उमा के निवास के बाहर लगायी गयी उसमें उन्हें अकीर्तित नायक (UNSUNG HERO) के तौर पर सम्मानित किया गया है यानी वे नायक/नायिका जो बिना लाइम लाइट से दूर अपना फ़र्ज़ निभाते हैं. यह सम्मान देश में कार्यरत चिकित्सकों के द्वारा किये जा रहे कार्यों को जन संज्ञान में लाने का इशारा है,

The unkind behavior towards them in some places is not hidden from anyone.
