क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन ऑफ उत्तराखंड के चुनाव में बीसीसीआई उपाध्यक्ष महिम वर्मा की जीत
देहरादून, क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन ऑफ उत्तराखंड (सीएयू) के सचिव पद के चुनाव में बीसीसीआई उपाध्यक्ष महिम वर्मा ने एकतरफा जीत दर्ज की। कुल 52 वोटों में 32 वोट महिम के समर्थन में पड़े। संजय गुसाईं को महज 14 वोट पड़े और 6 वोट खराब पाए गए। महिम अब जल्द बीसीसीआई उपाध्यक्ष पद से भी इस्तीफा दे सकते हैं।
रविवार सुबह 11.30 बजे से मतदान शुरू हुआ। मतदान केंद्र के बाहर महिम वर्मा और संजय गुसाईं के समर्थकों का जमावड़ा देखने को मिला। दोपहर 2 बजे तक मतदान हुआ। सीएयू के सदस्यों के अलावा डिस्ट्रिक्ट एसोसिएशनों के प्रतिनिधियों ने मतदान में हिस्सा लिया। तीन बजे से वोटों की काउंटिंग शुरू हुई। करीब 20 मिनट बाद चुनाव अधिकारी सुवर्द्धन ने परिणाम घोषित किए। महिम वर्मा की जीत की जानकारी मिलते ही महिम के समर्थकों में जश्न का माहौल देखने को मिला। महिम के पिता पीसी वर्मा को समर्थकों ने फूल माला व गुलाल लगाकर जीत की शुभकामनाएं दीं। महिम की जीत के बाद महीनेभर से चल रहा सियासी घमासान खत्म होने के आसार हैं। सीएयू सचिव पद को लेकर सीएयू के भीतर की खेमेबाजी खुलकर सामने आई। महिम को शिकस्त देने के लिए कई गुटों ने हाथ भी मिलाए, लेकिन महिम के पिता पी सी वर्मा का सीएयू बनाने में संघर्ष रंग लाया। नतीजतन प्रतिद्वंद्वी को मात खानी पड़ी। कुछ सदस्यों ने कहा कि सीएयू व डिस्ट्रिक्ट एसोसिएशनों में कई सदस्य पीसी वर्मा का दिल से सम्मान करते हैं। परिणाम घोषित होते ही महिम समर्थकों ने जीत पीसी वर्मा को समर्पित की। बीसीसीआई उपाध्यक्ष महिम वर्मा ने कहा कि वह जीत को लेकर बेहद खुश हैं। वह उत्तराखंड क्रिकेट को खास मुकाम दिलाना चाहते हैं। उन्होंने प्रदेश के खिलाड़ियों के लिए स्कॉलरशिप प्रोग्राम शुरू किया है। इसमें उत्तराखंड को पहला राज्य बनने का सौभाग्य मिला। अब वह स्कॉलरशिप के जरिए पहाड़ के जरूरतमंद खिलाड़ियों को प्लेटफॉर्म देंगे। गढ़वाल व कुमाऊं एकेडमी बनाने में तेजी लाई जाएगी। प्रतिभावान खिलाड़ियों के नैसर्गिक विकास के लिए एक उच्च स्तरीय ट्रेनिंग देने की भी योजना है। महिम वर्मा अपना वोट देने के बाद बीसीसीआई की महत्वपूर्ण बैठक में हिस्सा लेने मुंबई निकल चुके थे।

As soon as the information about Mahim Verma’s victory was received, there was a festive atmosphere among the supporters of Mahim.The supporters of Mahim’s father PC Verma wished them victory by planting flower garlands and gulal. After the victory of Mahim, a month-long political battle is expected to end. The camp within CAU regarding the post of CAU Secretary was revealed. Several groups joined hands to defeat Mahim, but Mahima’s father PC Verma’s struggle to form CAU paid off. As a result, the opponent had to be defeated.Some members said that many members in CAU and District Associations heartily respect PC Verma. As soon as the results were declared, the Mahim supporters dedicated the victory to PC Verma. BCCI Vice President Mahim Verma said that he is very happy about the victory. He wants to give Uttarakhand cricket a special place. He has started a scholarship program for the players of the state. In this, Uttarakhand got the privilege of becoming the first state.Now he will give platform to the needy players of the mountain through scholarship. Construction of Garhwal and Kumaon Academy will be expedited. There is also a plan to provide a high level training for the natural development of talented players. Mahim Verma had left Mumbai to attend the important meeting of the BCCI after casting his vote.
